Happy 40th Anniversary Mom & Dad!
"Happy anniversary to the two of the most amazing people I know. I am so proud that you are my parents and am inspired by your lives and your relationship. I love the way you really take life by the horns and find ways to make the most out of every adventure. You make even small events like an afternoon meet up in Healdsburg totally memorable, full of sharing, laughs and fun!! I have learned so much about living full out from you two and it makes my life so much more exciting. Thank you for being such an amazing model couple for me and Julian to look up to. You are so caring and accepting of each other. I LOVE YOU!!" - Heather Box

"Happy 40th Anniversary to two of my best friends! How lucky am I that I ended up with you both as my parents? You've always showed me that kindness, empathy, curiosity and determination are important, values that I base my life on today. And you've shown me through your relationship what it's like to be a supportive partner (and supportive parents!!) and really value and love each other (and your fam!!).
I wish you both had cheesy "40th Anniversary" t-shirts so that everyone in Hawaii would spoil you. But that's not really needed because I know both of you will make the day special for each other and you'll have some fun Hawaii stories when you return! I love you Mom and Dad!" - Carolynn Box

"I love how darn much fun laura and tom have together. It's so fun to hear them talk about their adventures- whether it's a trip toSanta Rosa or a ramble through the south. They make friends and find fun everywhere they go!! It may be a 90 year old tour guide in one mountain town who can barely let them go after a 3 hour tour of a tiny museum ... or the crowd of music lovers they meet in the back of a BBQ place nearby. The spirit of loving to discover and have fun seems as strong as when they were hippies in Manhattan beach in the 70s. With Laura's laugh and ability to talk to anyone and Tom's encyclopedic knowledge of everything and his trusty pocket knife, you have everything you need." - Robina Riccitiello.

"An endearing and enduring quality of Tom and Laura's relationship is their ready-for-adventure approach to living. They are always open to the wonder of travel and to the promise of a good party. Their wonderful daughters inherited this fine attribute." - Tom & Debbie

"Okay so your padres who I adore: when I think about your parent's relationship I picture many dinner parties or gatherings at your house. I can see your mom making an amazing meal and us all sitting at the table laughing. But most of all I see your parents LETTING EACH OTHER BE! Your mom going to sleep early with people still partying in your house and your dad moving folks to the other living room playing music and dancing. What I learn from your parents is to let your partner do their thing and do WHAT YOU WANT! Smoke outside? Yes please. Watch the news and not Be bothered? On it. Get into biking? Yes please. Start a store? Sure. Collect maps? Indeed. MAD RESPECT For your parents." - Arley Lindberg

"Tom and Laura are one of my all time favorite couples. I love them for so many reasons and they've added so much to my life over the past 12 years. I love how much they are on the same team, they are masterful hosts and work together to make sure everyone feels welcome and has a great time. Whether in Tahoe for the reunion or in the back yard in Sebtown, they always throw the best parties. I also love that they have so much fun together. We've spent many a night dancing to oldies or Bluegrass jams, or cracking up over wine at one of their favorite restaurants in the city and it's clear they really enjoy each-others company. I feel so fortunate to have them in my life as individuals and grateful to have such a solid example of partnership. My only small critique is that Laura is a liiitttllle mean when it comes to Tom's driving :)" - Julian Mocine-McQueen

"Consistent hospitality is a rare and special thing. It goes beyond generosity. It shows trust, vulnerability, a willingness to be seen. It says "we have nothing to hide. At the drop of a hat, be a part of our life. This is us, come on in" Tom and Laura are the most consistently hospitable people I know. And for that, I love them!" - Nick Foxer

"Well, we LOVED going to your home as kids (uh, and still do!) because it was clear they loved you guys so much, and all kids. They were fun-loving and allowed us to explore and play. I feel like great parents have great relationships - and set an awesome example for future parents and relationships." - Liz Bull

"September 3 1977 was the day of Tom and Laura's wedding. Laura was beautiful and happy in her white gown. It was hot but a lovely day for a wedding with lots of friends and all of the family of both the bride and the groom. It is wonderful to see what they have accomplished in these forty years, the best of all are your two sweet daughters, Carolynn and Heather. Love, love, love, Mother Bina."

"Mike and I love the way Laura and Tom have always made family such a priority. You guys always took great vacations together, usually just the four of you, but also many Box/Baxter and Luther family gatherings. Thanks for the great example, Laura and Tom." - Priscilla and Mike
